I have worked in premiere locations for fine dining across the southern United States, working in hotels and resorts from the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, training hundreds of cooks, pantry people, dishwashers and everyone else moving through the ranks with day to day training of staff.
I started my television career in 1988 with the morning show in Tampa, Florida: “Murphy in the Morning” representing Saddlebrook Resort, then a shoot in 1990 in Nashville for local TV show: “Talk of the Town” representing Opryland Hotel and the opening of the Spring House Golf Course, and also “Wes at Night” in Tampa, Florida in 1994, doing fresh local food from Florida representing my own local restaurant. I educated the public on cooking techniques on the Dishin’ It Out with Randal White show (Cox Cable) from 2007-2013.
I hosted “The Chef’s Table” TV show, aired on PBS channel 5 Gainesville, Florida (2014-2018) With the sponsorship of IFAS UF our team’s objective to utilize fresh local products from our beautiful state from citrus, cheese, mushrooms, Florida meats and fresh local seafood and giving plugs for local farmers and produce stands. Our aim was to promote local food awareness and healthy, fresh eating.
